OfficeWriter Editions

OfficeWriter comes in two editions: Enterprise Edition (EE) and Standard Edition (SE). The most substantial difference between the two editions is the inclusion of the OfficeWriter Application API, which is only available in Enterprise Edition.

The Application API is the Excel and Word-based object model that allows for fine-grained control over all aspects of Excel and Word files and highly customized runtime control. With SE and the OfficeWriter Template API you can merge data into existing Excel and Word files, but without the more fine-grained runtime control.
